Manchester United have announced the signing of centre-back Leny Yoro to continue their summer transfer business.
The 18-year-old has arrived from Lille for an initial £52million fee, rising to £58m, having flown to Manchester on Wednesday to undergo a medical.
Reports had suggested that Yoro was keen on a move to Real Madrid this summer, but it is United who moved to agree a deal with Lille and the defender has signed a five-year deal.
It is the second significant signing of the window for United, who have already signed 23-year-old striker Joshua Zirkzee for £36.5m.

The club have been keen to strengthen in defence, after Raphael Varane left earlier this summer as a free agent and Willy Kambwala joined Villarreal.
Yoro made 32 league appearances for Lille last season, having come from the club’s youth system and made his professional debut in 2022.
The teenager was initially called up by Thierry Henry to France’s squad for the Paris Olympics, but dropped out due to Lille being involved in Champions League qualifying.
Erik ten Hag’s side have already begun their pre-season campaign, losing to Rosenborg in their opening friendly.
United will travel to the USA for their most high-profile fixtures of the summer, facing Arsenal on July 28 and Liverpool a week later.
They then take on Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 10, before getting their Premier League season up and running at home to Fulham.
