Lennon makes Kyogo Celtic admission as he salutes Premier League qualities

Neil Lennon has named Kyogo Furuhashi as one player he would have loved to have worked with at Celtic.

The former Parkhead boss is a huge admirer of the Japanese striker and admitted Kyogo is his favourite player at the club at the minute.

Lennon - who is currently out of management - saluted Kyogo's clinical nature in front of goal and movement as he gushed over the Celtic fan favourite.

And the ex-Celtic manager reckons Kyogo has the ability to perform in the Premier League - even if he is desperate he doesn't seal a transfer away from Glasgow any time soon.

Speaking to BoyleSports, Lennon said: "I really like Kyogo Furuhashi and he's one of the players I would have liked to have in my squad when I was there.

"He's so clinical with all kinds of finishes and has great movement, he's my favourite player at the minute.

"I'm a big fan and he's been a great signing for Ange.

"He's a player who has genuine top class qualities and he could definitely play in the Premier League - I just hope he doesn't go anytime soon because I'm really enjoying watching him play for Celtic."

Lennon - who watched Partick Thistle's win over Queen's Park last week - last managed Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus before being sacked in October last year.

The former Northern Ireland international previously managed Celtic on two occasions along with spells at Bolton Wanderers and Hibs.
