Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has explained why Arne Engels is now thriving in green and white after somewhat of an inconsistent start to life in Glasgow.
The Belgian has flourished in recent weeks and was named man of the match in his side's emphatic 5-1 win over Aberdeen on Tuesday evening despite not scoring.
Engels' record-breaking £11m price tag meant he came in for criticism during the initial stages of his Celtic career, although Lennon has been pleased to see him thrive of late: "We're seeing all the attributes that he's got now," he said (Sky Sports).

"I felt early on in the season he was struggling with the tightness and taking the ball in tight areas. Now we're really seeing him flourish. I thought he was terrific tonight (vs Aberdeen). I thought he was great against Bayern Munich in both games.
"Now he's really showing his quality. Not only running with the ball but his actual play in general.
"His all-round game is coming on. He's a big player now for Celtic, which you wouldn't have said two or three months ago."
Brought in on transfer deadline day of the summer window last year, Engels is Celtic's most expensive signing.
He has made 40 appearances for the Parkhead side this season, scoring nine goals and assisting 11.
Having impressed both domestically and in Europe for his team of late, Engels has moulded into a key performer and at 21 years of age, he will only improve.
