Leigh Griffiths has made his first appearance for Falkirk just hours after being unveiled by the League One side.
The former Celtic striker was released by his parent club and Dundee opted not to extend his loan for the full season.
That saw him put pen to paper on deal to work under boss Martin Rennie and former Scotland team-mate Kenny Miller.
Rennie had no doubts about throwing Griffiths into the clash with Alloa to help their push for the playoff spots.
Barry Ferguson 's Wasps were thumped by the Bairns as they continued to hover dangerously close to the relegation zone.
An impressive second half showing from Falkirk saw Jaze Kabia and Craig McGuffie put the visitors in poll position.
Griffiths came on for Kabia after 67 minutes, before Anton Dowds added a third of the night.
The 31-year-old had a chance to open his account for Falkirk, but fired over after 85 minutes from Ryan Williamson's cross from the right flank.
He also tried his luck from a dead ball, but his free-kick from 25-yards drifted over David Hutton's bar.
Griffiths has stated he hopes the move to the Scottish third tier will hope him rediscover his love of the game.
He said following the transfer: “I’m really happy to be here. Martin and Kenny made it clear that they thought I could help them with the club’s promotion push.
"For me it’s about getting back enjoying football again and helping the team push up the league.”
