Here at SportsCasting, we have the Leicester vs Brighton preview, prediction, latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Leicester Vs Brighton Preview
Still buzzing from their emphatic 3-1 triumph over West Ham on Tuesday, Leicester City will be hoping to make it two wins from two under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The new Foxes boss got off to a flying start at the King Power Stadium during the week. Jamie Vardy netted after just two minutes before Bilal El Khannouss doubled the advantage.
Patson Daka made sure of the points late on before Niclas Fullkrug scored a consolation effort in injury-time. That win moved the East Midlanders up to 16th.
Premier League survival is very much the aim for Van Nistelrooy. The Dutchman’s task will become all the more achievable if he can maintain his 100% start on Sunday.
Leicester’s home form is keeping their heads above water currently. The former interim Manchester United manager knows just how vital it is to secure points in front of the Foxes loyal fans.

After their disappointing 1-1 draw with basement dwellers Southampton on GW13, Brighton & Hove Albion endured another poor result on Thursday.
The Seagulls were brushed aside with considerable ease against Fulham on Thursday. Alex Iwobi opened the scoring before Carlos Baleba equalised after half-time.
Summer signing Matt O’Riley scored an own goal before Iwobi netted again late on. That result leaves Fabian Hurzeler’s side in 5th spot.
The German gaffer has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season but more dropped points at the King Power will further dampen mood going into the festive period.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash, the best football betting sites in the UK make the south coast outfit the 3/4 favourites. Leicester are priced at 19/5 with the draw available at 3/1.
Leicester Vs Brighton Team News
Doubts remain over the fitness of Leicester midfielder Harry Winks. The 28-year-old has missed the last two games after picking up a groin strain against Chelsea in November.
Forward Odsonne Édouard is closing in on a return and could feature on Sunday. However, loanne Facundo Buonanotte will not be able to feature against his parent club.
Defender Wout Faes is likely to be on the bench again. That means Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard will be employed as the centre-back pairing.
Meanwhile, Brighton are still without the injured trio of James Milner, Adam Webster and Solly March. The same applies for academy graduate Jack Hinshelwood.
Thursday’s defeat against Fulham didn’t bring about any new injury concerns. Carlos Baleba netted against the Cottagers and is expected to keep his place in the starting XI.
Up top, Joao Pedro will once again lead the line. Evan Ferguson – who is reportedly available for loan – will once again make do with a spot on the bench.

Leicester Vs Brighton Prediction
Despite their 3-1 win on Tuesday, the match stats were very much against Leicester City against West Ham. A side of Brighton’s calibre will likely take advantage if presented with similar opportunities.
The Foxes have home advantage once again but we feel that the Seagulls will get back to winning ways in the East Midlands on Sunday. Therefore, we are predicting Fabian Hurzeler’s side to snatch a slender victory.
Prediction: Leicester 1-2 Brighton
