Leicester City frontman Jamie Vardy will miss the Premier League clash against Arsenal through injury.
The veteran centre-forward suffered a knee injury against Leeds last weekend and the former England international will now miss the game at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Vardy boasts an incredible record against the Gunners, netting 11 times in just 14 fixtures against the north London outfit, but Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that his star striker will miss the match against Mikel Arteta's men.
Speaking ahead of their clash against Rennes, Rodgers said: "We have James Justin back and James Maddison, but Jamie Vardy will be out.
"He got injured in the last game and will be out for a few weeks. Ricardo (Perreira) not ready for tomorrow. Everyone else has come through."
The news comes just days after Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale admitted that Vardy is the player he hates facing the most, given the 35-year-old's clinical nature.
When asked who his toughest opponent was, Ramsdale said: "The one I hate playing against most is Jamie Vardy.
"The guy just doesn't stop running. I'd love to have him on my team, hate playing against him.
"I've played against him five times now, he's scored four times."
Arteta and Co will hope that his side can clinch the double over the Foxes, having clinched a 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium earlier this season.
The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League standings, one point above Manchester United and three above local rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who have played three and one more league matches, respectively.
