Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans does not regret his decision to stay with the Foxes this summer amid contract uncertainty around his future.
The Belgian international was linked with a deadline day move to Newcastle for a mooted fee of around £25m but no transfer emerged for Tielemans who decided to stay at the King Power Stadium instead.
However, that decision now looks to have been a poor one. Leicester currently sit bottom of the Premier League table having lost six of their opening seven fixtures.

Brendan Rodgers side lost their last outing before the international break 6-2 to Tottenham Hotspur and currently have the leakiest defence in the league having conceded a whopping 22 goals in just seven games.
Tielemans' contract is set to expire next summer, with plenty of suitors likely poised to try and tempt the talented Belgian midfielder to join them.
While Leicester could look to sell the 25-year-old at a cut rate price in January, the likelihood is he will leave the Foxes on a free next summer.
If Newcastle can finish their season strongly and convince Tielemans of their ambitions, there is every chance they could be one of the clubs in pole position to sign him.
And speaking while away on international duty with Belgium, Tielemans revealed he does not regret his decision to remain with Leicester this summer, despite their dismal start to the season.
"I'm not going to speak too much about my contract situation at the moment," said Tielemans.
"I didn't leave Leicester in the summer as I always said the project had to be the right one. Just because things are getting worse now at Leicester doesn't mean I should regret [staying]."
