LEGO enthusiasts, all your dreams are about to come true.
A new LEGO store will open at Charlestown Square at 9am on Wednesday.
This isn't just another brick in the wall. The new store will feature "exclusive, customised design elements and brick-built symbols".
Alceon Group and LEGO Australia said in a statement that the store would include a fisherman 3D model "made by hand from 34,045 bricks" that took about 303 hours to build.
A LEGO mosaic of the Newcastle skyline, including the "Newcastle lighthouse" [ahh, that would be Nobbys], will also apparently be on display.
The statement mentioned that other iconic LEGO stores were in London, New York and Shanghai. Hey, just like that T-shirt - London, Paris, Madrid, Newy.
The Charlestown store will also include features like "Pick A Brick wall", "Build Your Own Mini-Figure station" and "hard-to-find products and sets".
And before you go rushing headlong into the store on Wednesday, you should probably be aware that it's a "COVID-safe venue".
This means restrictions of up to 20 customers in store at a time. A "virtual queuing system" will be used to allocate appointments for what the store called "guests" [which we assume means customers, unless there's a hotel we're unaware of].
"All guests will be temperature checked on arrival," the statement said. [But who will take care of their luggage?]
"All customers must wear a mask whilst in the store and gloves must be worn at the Pick A Brick wall and Build Your Own Mini-Figure station." [Well, we are in a pandemic]
You'll be pleased to know "regular cleaning and sterilisation" will occur at the store. [We feel for the person who has to clean between the grooves of each Lego piece!]
"Hand sanitiser will be compulsory at entry of the store." [We'd expect nothing less].

We're not entirely sure what happened here. The photo shows a BMW [thought to be an SUV worth a pretty penny].
A Topics spy said the photo was taken at Carrington boat ramp on Sunday.
Our spy reckons the vehicle is an X6 M model worth more than $200,000 [Car sleuths of the Hunter will certainly let us know if that's wrong.]
Our spy didn't see the incident, but his theory is that the driver was lowering the jet ski into the water from a trailer while using the brakes, causing the vehicle to slip.
Because the vehicle is an SUV and not a 4WD, he reckons it would have lost its grip.
"I'm guessing that's what happened," our spy said.
"The wheels will take the easiest path."
Our spy said this sort of thing was also known to happen "every Boxing Day up at the Bay".
