The first Lego Mario Kart sets, scheduled for release in 2025, have been officially revealed at this year’s Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany.
The buildable sets feature karts, bikes, a garage, and a grand prix. They include characters such as Donkey Kong, Baby Peach, and Yoshi.
The sets focus on the trio of Mario, Luigi, and Peach digital figures, central to the Lego Super Mario theme.
By incorporating recognisable Mario Kart audio and visual effects for the game's race-starting, horn-honking, kart-drifting, and gliding sounds, Lego says the new sets further elevate the interactive experience.
The sets will be available in Lego stores, Lego.com, and from select leading retailers worldwide from January 1, 2025.
Simon Kent, design director at the Lego Group, said: “The brand-new LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart sets provide an immersive building experience and capture the heart-pounding action of the beloved video game series — showing fans that the world is your track like never before.”
Here are all the sets that will be available soon.

With 174 pieces, for most people, this will be the classic Lego Mario Kart set.
Baby Mario vs Baby Luigi - £24.99
Baby Mario vs Baby Luigi is the first Lego Super Mario: Mario Kart set to have two racers. Baby Mario gets a Biddybuggy, while Baby Luigi has a Tri-Speeder. They are then outfitted with shooters and shells for a balloon fight.

Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo may be the one to buy in 2025 if you want one with a character to drive its kart.Red and green shells, a stud shooter to shoot them, and a target that appears to release a banana skin are all included in the 387-piece set.
Toad’s Garage - £34.99
Moving up to the mid-range Lego Mario Kart sets, there is Toad's Garage. This comes with many customisation possibilities for karts, a workbench, two blue Toads dressed like pit crew members, and a clever Lego replica of the B Dasher kart.
With 390 pieces, this piece could be worth buying if you’re a Toad fan.
