Leeds United have been promoted to the English Premier League this evening.
The Elland Road side is owned by 49ers Enterprises, who, along with Andrew Cavenagh, are set to secure a 51 per cent controlling interest in Rangers.
Leeds defeated Stoke City 6-0 earlier this afternoon. Joel Piroe scored a hat-trick in the first 20 minutes, before Junior Firpo made it 4-0 just before the half-hour mark. Piroe then struck again prior to the break, as Wilfried Gnonto completed the scoring in the second half.

That victory meant that if Burnley avoided defeat against Sheffield United later on Easter Monday, Leeds would be promoted, and that is precisely what happened.
