Leeds weather forecast as warning snow could fall 'within hours'

More cold weather is predicted for Leeds with forecasters warning that the city could see some snow in just hours.

The city could be hit by snow as soon as tomorrow, Friday, Net Weather predicts.

From 3pm there’s a 18 per cent risk of snow but chances will increase with 24 per cent at 6pm and 50 per cent chances of snow by 9pm.

However, the Met Office warns there will be “isolated icy patches” across Yorkshire as we approach the weekend.

They predict Friday will be cloudy changing to sunny intervals but heavy rain is expected in Leeds throughout Saturday.

Weather in Yorkshire over the weekend according to Met Office

Friday:

Cold start, perhaps isolated icy patches. Sunny spells then expected with most parts staying dry. However, occasional wintry showers possible, most frequent across western hills. Cold throughout with brisk winds. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

From Saturday to Monday:

Frosty start Saturday, then turning milder and windy with some rain and drizzle, mainly western hills, Windy and likely colder Sunday, with sunshine and showers. Milder and cloudy again Monday.
