Preamble
Hello, good afternoon and welcome to another Saturday clockwatch. With no Premier League action lined up for today we’ll be focusing on the rest of the Football League, as well as some fixtures from across Europe’s top leagues.
In the Championship, Leeds will be looking to leapfrog Sheffield United and return to the top of the table when they host Swansea at Elland Road. Elsewhere, playoff hopefuls Sunderland face mid-table Millwall and third-placed Burnley take on seventh-placed Bristol City.
In League One, it’s top vs bottom as high-flying Birmingham face Shrewsbury while fourth-placed Charlton host sixth-placed Huddersfield.
And in League Two, it’s third on the road against first as Wimbledon travel to meet Walsall at the Bescot Stadium.
Elsewhere across Europe, Bayern Munich are in action against St Pauli in the Bundesliga while Atlético Madrid travel to face Espanyol in La Liga.
I’ll be with you all the way – join me!
