Leeds United youngster Charlie Cresswell has joined Championship club Millwall on a season-long loan deal.
The defender made five Premier League appearances for the Whites last season and he’ll be hoping to build on that under Gary Rowett in south London. This will be Cresswell’s first loan away from Elland Road, but having seen a host of players within the Leeds camp excel whilst on loan, he’ll be keen to take the next step in his career at The Den.
Cresswell has been a regular in Leeds under-23s over the last two seasons, skippering the side to promotion from Premier League 2 Division Two during the 2021-21 campaign. The 19-year-old centre back has also worked his way onto the international scene in recent months, collecting six caps for England under-21s.

Millwall came close to securing a play-off spot in the Championship last season and Cresswell will be looking to help them go one better this time around. Cresswell trained with his new teammates on Monday morning as the Lions continue their preparations for the new season, which will get underway on July 30 against Stoke City.
