Motherwell boss Stevie Hammell has won the race to sign former Fir Park youngster Stuart McKinstry on a loan deal from English Premier League club Leeds United.
McKinstry, 19, was part of the Fir Park Academy before earning his big move in 2019, and worked with Hammell when he was a youth coach.
Motherwell faced competition from other Scottish clubs for the talented winger, but having been at the North Lanarkshire club since he was 10, McKinstry appears keen to come back.
The teenager, who made two appearances for Leeds' first team last season, will now travel back north for the rest of this season.
It's believed that Leeds boss Jesse Marsch wants him to extend his contract, which is due to expire next year, but wants McKinstry to gain more experience.
