Michael Skubala has named a very strong Leeds United U21s side to take on Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road this evening. The Whites will be looking to seal their spot in Round Two of the competition tonight and Skubala will be feeling confident after being able to call on a number of first-teamers.
Mateusz Klich and Junior Firpo are the most senior faces involved having watched Saturday’s first-team win at Anfield from the bench, while Wilfried Gnonto drops back into the side after making his debut over the weekend. Gnonto had a hand to play in Crysencio Summerville’s winner against the Reds and he’ll be keen to build on that by performing this evening.
Joe Gelhardt also makes the step down and he’ll slot in alongside top scorers Mateo Joseph and Sonny Perkins. Leo Hjelde makes his first appearance since undergoing surgery on his appendix, while Cody Drameh keeps his spot at right-back.
