Van den Boomen setback
Branco van den Boomen was tipped to be a man in demand this summer, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirming the goalscoring midfielder will leave Toulouse as a free agent. Leeds United were among the clubs recently linked with the 27-year-old who has registered five goals and eight assists in Ligue 1 this season.
However, Romano now claims van den Boomen is expected to shun interest from England and elsewhere in favour of a move to Ajax. The Dutchman is reportedly set to undergo a medical next week in Amsterdam ahead of completing a move.

Roberts' exit
Haydon Roberts is set to leave Brighton as a free agent after nearly a decade with the club. The defender was reportedly on Leeds' radar in 2020, but will now leave the Seagulls following injury setbacks and loan spells at Derby County and Rochdale.
Roberts posted on Instagram: "Thank you for everything over the last eight years. I’m looking forward to what God has next for me."
