Leeds United transfer rumours with renewed links to in-demand right-back prospect

Your Leeds United transfer round-up for Sunday, April 24.

Ramsay interest reignited?

Leeds are plotting a summer move for Aberdeen youngster Calvin Ramsay, according to the Athletic. The 18-year-old was first linked with the club last year and is enjoying a fine breakout season for the Dons - making 26 Scottish Premiership appearances.

Liverpool are also reportedly vying for his signature but could not offer the right-back the same first-team opportunities. The piece claims Ramsay would be thrust into the playing squad at Elland Road - a place with a track record of developing young players.

At 30-years-old, Luke Ayling is still in his prime but Ramsay would be considered his long-term successor. The Scotland U21 international has two years left on his current contract.

More Phillips talk

The Times are the latest outlet to link Kalvin Phillips with a move away from Leeds. Perpetual talk of the Whites' star asset leaving has plagued the current campaign - despite Phillips missing large chunks of it through injury.

His accession to England regular has seen him linked with a host of big clubs and bitter rivals Manchester United are the latest name churning in the rumour mill. The piece suggests Red Devils chiefs view Phillips as an alternative to Three Lions teammate Declan Rice.

An Old Trafford move would be controversial - especially as Phillips is a boyhood Leeds fan - but Rio Ferdinand made the switch in 2002. A deal to sign the midfielder would shatter the record-breaking £30million paid for Ferdinand twenty years ago.
