Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Thursday, March 24.
Romano provides Raphinha update
This isn’t the first, and certainly won’t be the last, update that is provided regarding the future of Raphinha. Rumours are intensifying that clubs are circling in their attempts to sign the Leeds star with Barcelona understood to be the current front runners.
There is yet to be any contact between the Whites and the Spanish giants but the 25-year-old’s agent, Deco, has reportedly been in touch with the relevant people in Catalonia. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted an update and claimed ‘Raphinha would be open to join Barcelona’.
The fee that they are willing to pay, initially reported to be between £30m and £40m will be far too low for what Leeds are looking for and will need to be increased for an offer to even be considered.

Leeds join race for young Spanish defender
Leeds haven’t been shy to dip into the Spanish market since returning to the Premier League with Rodrigo, Diego Llorente and Junior Firpo all coming to Elland Road from that part of Europe. So far, those signings have been hit and miss but that hasn’t deterred Victor Orta and co going back in for another La Liga asset.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds have joined a growing list of teams monitoring the situation of 21-year-old Sergio Gomez. The Anderlecht left-back has been mightily impressive this season with five goals and 11 assists in the Belgian Pro League.
Along with the Whites, Lyon, Atalanta and Lyon have been credited with interest while Real Madrid and Chelsea have been previously linked with the youngster.
Leeds could look for cut-price deal for former target
The position that seems to be top of the summer agenda at Elland Road seems to be attacking midfield as Brenden Aaronson remains one of the club’s top targets after missing out on him in January. However, with competition expected for the USA international, they may have to look into alternative options.
One player that they were linked with last summer was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but the £20m asking price from Rubin Kazan seemed to deter any concrete offers. According to the Gazzetta in Italy, who were reporting Napoli’s interest in the Georgian midfielder, he is now available for just £12.5m, a price which might tempt Leeds into touching base with his representatives.
