Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours and gossip on Wednesday, January 11.
Leeds United plan to ruin Arsenal's £88m plans with £18m heist
Leeds United are reportedly interested in Brazilian midfielder Danilo, joining numerous European teams in the race for his services including Premier League leaders Arsenal.
The 21-year-old Palmeiras player has a release clause in his contract of £88 million according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, a fee well out of the Whites' price range.
It's believed that Danilo could end up leaving Brazil for around €20 million (£17.7m) instead of what's in his contract - a much more manageable fee for a club like Leeds.
Unfortunately, this has an added negative that now other clubs like Aston Villa, Wolves, West Ham, Brighton and Nottingham Forest have all been sniffing around the 21-year-old.
Whether Jesse Marsch and co. can coax the youngster over to Elland Road this month or not remains to be seen but for a player of his calibre, £17m is certainly a good price.
Leeds United 'make enquiry' over Championship striker
Leeds United are reportedly one of four Premier League teams to make 'an enquiry' to Coventry City over the availability of highly-touted forward Viktor Gyokeres.
The 25-year-old has been on top form for the Sky Blues so far this season, netting 12 times in 25 matches leaving him second in the race for the Golden Boot - only behind Middlesbrough forward Chuba Akpom.
With Wolves, Fulham and Everton also interested in the Swede, Leeds could find themselves in the running to land his services if their form picks up over the coming weeks.
Georginio Rutter to Leeds United transfer latest as medical date claim made for Hoffenheim forward
Leeds United are heavily pursuing a deal to sign Hoffenheim forward Georginio Rutter this month. The 20-year-old is expected to cost between €30-40 million.
Jesse Marsch has made a striker one of his main priorities during the January transfer window, as he attempts to inject firepower into the attack.
Rodrigo has netted 11 times across all competitions this season, but Patrick Bamford's struggles with form and fitness has seen the goal scoring responsibilities rest firmly on Rodrigo's shoulders.
Reports suggest Leeds are edging closer to securing Rutter's signature, although nothing is yet set in stone. Here are all the latest updates regarding the Rutter transfer links...
