Here are your Leeds United transfer rumours and gossip for Thursday, February 23.
Leeds United 'plan to sign' Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres
Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres, regardless of whether they remain in the Premier League or not. That's according to TeamTalk, who state that the Whites are 'big admirers' of the 24-year-old and are keen to bring him to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
Gyokeres has had a superb season for the Sky Blues in the Championship, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 32 league appearances so far this season. Only Middlesbrough star Chuba Akpom (19) has out-scored the Swede, who is also thought to have attracted the attention of fellow relegation rivals Everton and Bournemouth.

Coventry currently sit 11th in the Championship and Leeds fans may well be hoping that their team can not only secure their top-flight status next season, but that the Sky Blues fail to join them. Gyokeres would become a much harder asset to keep hold of should the Whites stay in the Premier League, with the Elland Road club also becoming a far more attractive destination for the forward who looks ready to make the step up a division.
Leeds to 'battle' Aston Villa for Celtic wonderkid
Elsewhere, Leeds are also thought to be lining up a move for Celtic teenage sensation Aidan Borland. Football Insider report that the 15-year-old is on the club's radar after fast-becoming one of the best young prospects to emerge from the Scottish side's academy.
However, Aston Villa are also understood to be admirers of Borland and that both clubs have made 'regular checks' on the starlet. The youngster is showing a maturity beyond his years as he currently plays for Celtic U18s and even captains Scotland's U16s.
And now it seems that Leeds are looking to line up a move for Borland in a bid to bolster their youth squad with a transfer that would see the club reap the rewards of long-term planning if they manage to secure his services in the summer, by which point he will have turned 16 and be eligible to make the move to West Yorkshire.
