Here's the Leeds United transfer rumours and gossip on Tuesday, February 7.
Carlos Corberan set for new deal talks with West Brom after Leeds United links
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan is reportedly set for a new contract at the Baggies after being linked with the vacant job at Leeds United according to Football Insider.
The Whites sacked manager Jesse Marsch yesterday afternoon while currently sat in 17th, and having seen Corberan be the fulcrum of a dramatic turnaround at the Hawthorns since his appointment in October.
The Spaniard also already has experience at Elland Road, having worked under Marcelo Bielsa during his tenure with the club as the Under-23s manager as well as a first team coach role.
Many believe Corberan could be the perfect candidate to replace the American although the Baggies are certainly prepared to put up a fight to keep their man in charge.
Leeds United January target asking for £18m release clause at proposed club
One of Leeds United's January window targets Nicolo Zaniolo has reportedly asked Galatasaray to include a release clause in his contract if he is to sign for the Turkish outfit.
The midfielder has been vocally keen on moving away from his current club Roma but failed to do so last month, meaning his opportunities have closed somewhat.
According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu (via Inside Futbol), Zaniolo is asking Galatasaray for a release clause of €20m (£18m), a fee that he realises many European clubs would pay for him come the summer transfer window.
However, it's believed that the Turkish club is offering a release clause of €55m (£49m) meaning Leeds would have to front up a lot more money for the star than previously thought.
