Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites 'lead' AC Milan in race for Noa Lang

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Sunday, May 29.

Leeds ahead of Milan in race for Lang

A winger, or two, is likely to be among the transfer targets for Leeds with the potential threat of losing Raphinha and Jack Harrison throughout the summer looming large. Noa Lang is one wide midfielder who has long been linked with the Whites and the rumours have continued already this year after they decided not to meet Club Brugge’s asking price last summer.

There was said to be some competition for the Dutch winger from AC Milan which Leeds would undoubtedly struggle to compete with. Although, Calciomercato are claiming that the newly-crowned Italian champions are behind Leeds and even West Ham in the race for Lang.

Brugge are reportedly holding out for €25m after yet another impressive season from the 22-year-old.

Brighton join Leeds in hunt for Coventry midfielder

Coventry enjoyed a decent season in the Championship and, right up until the latter part of the campaign, looked as though they could finish in the play-off places. They ultimately finished in the middle of the table and one of the driving forces behind their strong season was defensive midfielder Gustavo Hamer.

For that reason, he is gaining plenty of transfer interest and Leeds are said to be one of the teams monitoring his situation alongside Brentford, Rangers, Celtic and Norwich. As per Coventry Live’s most recent report, Brighton are now interested in the 24-year-old Dutchman.

Hamer signed a contract extension with the Sky Blues earlier this season so, should any of those sides pursue a move, he wouldn’t be available cheaply.

Riqui Puig among Barcelona players allowed to leave

Barcelona’s financial situation means it is essential they sell players they deem to be either deadwood or that are taking up too much of the wage bill. According to the Express, Riqui Puig is among those that Xavi doesn’t feel as though he needs in his squad.

The 22-year-old was once a target of Bielsa’s at Leeds and, if he is available for a cut price this summer, Victor Orta might be keen to test the water. However, with the Whites reluctant to sell Raphinha to the Spanish giants, it is unlikely they will be too keen to let one of their players move to Elland Road without the Brazilian moving the other way.
