Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites enquire about Belgium U21 international

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Friday, April 14.

Whites linked with Royal Antwerp’s Mandela Keita

Leeds United are among a number of clubs chasing Royal Antwerp loanee Mandela Keita, according to Het Nieuwsblad. Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers are also reportedly keen on signing the 20-year-old midfielder, who is currently on loan from OH Leuven.

Antwerp reportedly have an option to sign the player on a permanent deal by parting with €10m. However, the report claims they need to agree terms with Keita, which they're yet to do so far.

Journalist David Van den Broeck covered the report and says Leeds, Norwich and Blackburn Rovers have ‘already enquired’ about Keita.

Illan Meslier set to leave Leeds United regardless of Premier League survival

Football Insider claims Illan Meslier wants to leave Leeds United this summer, regardless of Premier League survival. Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the young French goalkeeper and are said to have watched him on a number of occasions this season.

The 23-year-old's contract at Elland Road expires in the summer of 2026 having signed fresh terms in 2021. Meslier has been an ever present since signing for the Whites, with a reported asking price of £40million slapped on his head this summer.

Tottenham and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in a move for the Frenchman, but it's Chelsea who are said to be pushing hardest for a move this summer. Meslier has made 122 appearances for Leeds across all competitions, keeping 30 clean sheets in that time.
