Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Saturday, 23 April 2022.
Leeds backed to sign striker
Leeds United will almost definitely look to sign a striker in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to journalist Dean Jones. The Whites have been short in that department for much of the season with Patrick Bamford having made just seven starts due to a string of injury troubles.
Jesse Marsch has already confirmed in one of his pre-match press conferences that is an area Leeds will look to improve. Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones claimed that Leeds could look down the avenue of recruiting an attacker with Premier League experience.
He said: “They’re undoubtedly going to sign a new striker. Personally, I think they will look for someone who’s already done it in the Premier League because they’ve seen other players, Rodrigo, for example, he’s a great player, but he’s taken a long time to understand life in the Premier League.”

Everton in Batshuayi race
Everton have reportedly joined Leeds United in the race to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi this summer, according to TeamTalk. Both sides have struggled in the striker department this season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Patrick Bamford suffering a string of injury troubles.
Batshuayi has spent this season out on loan at Turkish League Side Besiktas, where he has scored 14 goals in 28 appearances. The Belgium international arrived at Chelsea for £33 million in 2016 but has not played a game for the Blues in over two years and could therefore be prepared to let him leave permanently this summer.
