Leeds United transfer rumours as Tyler Adams links continue to circulate

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Monday, 4 July 2022.

Tyler Adams 'really wants' Leeds United move

RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams is reportedly very keen on a move to Elland Road this summer. The American midfielder, who has already worked under Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch looks to be available this summer with the Whites needing to strengthen in the middle of the park ahead of Kalvin Phillips' imminent move to Manchester City.

While Marc Roca has signed for Leeds from Bayern Munich, Leeds need at least one more addition in midfield. And CBS journalist Ben Jacobs claims Adams is itching to join Leeds this summer.

Raphinha saga continues to drag on

The future of Brazilian forward Raphinha looks to be no further forward after Barcelona president Joan Laporta claimed the 25-year-old wants to move to Camp Nou. Initially, Raphinha was thought to be heading to Barcelona this summer following months of speculation.

Then Arsenal emerged as favourites for a brief period of time until last week, when Chelsea became front runners in the Raphinha sweepstakes. While it looks as though Chelsea are now in the lead for the Brazilian's signature, Barcelona remain interested and are still reportedly Raphinha's first choice destination.

Whatever happens, the Brazilian's future must be settled sooner rather than later to allow Leeds United to know just what they're working with heading into the upcoming Premier League campaign.

"We have spoken with Leeds," Laporta told Spanish outlet Sport recently. "I don’t think it will offend them [to say so] because we have spoken personally [with Raphinha] and we are in communication, but there are also other clubs that want Raphinha and have made their offers. We know that the player would like to come to Barcelona."

Tyler Roberts targeted by Championship clubs

Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts is the subject of loan interest from Queens Park Rangers and Hull City this summer. According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Roberts has attracted interest from the two Championship outfits and may drop down a division in order to get vital minutes in his legs ahead of Qatar 2022.

The 23-year-old spent time out last season, and is unlikely to force his way into Jesse Marsch's starting XI plans. Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo, Dan James and Joe Gelhardt are all ahead of the Welsh international at the moment, meaning a loan move away would be a sensible move for Roberts.

With Leeds set to head off on their pre-season tour of Australia soon, Roberts future might be resolved sooner rather than later, with the club said to be keen on offloading him before hand.
