Van den Boomen is not willing to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 outfit at this stage because he wants to keep his options open.
His current deals expires in June and a number of clubs could pounce to secure his signature on a free transfer in the summer.
Leeds and Premier League rivals Aston Villa are interested in the Dutchman, while PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord, Marseille, Sevilla, Wolfsburg and Galatasaray are also linked with the 27-year-old.
He has largely spent his career in the Dutch second-tier with Eindhoven and De Graafschap, and joined Toulouse in 2020. Van den Boomen registered 12 goals and 21 assists in 37 games to inspire Toulouse to the Ligue 2 title last season.
And he has consolidated his form from the previous season during the current campaign with six goals and 13 assists in 36 matches across all competitions.
Leeds receive Mandela Keita boost
Leeds have received a boost in their reported quest to sign OH Leuven midfielder Mandela Keita.
According to David Van den Broeck, Leeds have been monitoring Keita, along with Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City.
Keita has been on loan at Royal Antwerp during the current campaign and The Great Old have the option to sign him permanently for a fee of £8.7 million.
However, Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad claim that Keita is not expected to return to Leuven, while Keita wants to play at a higher level.
The 20-year-old joined Antwerp on loan in January and has amassed 14 appearances for the club. He opened his goal scoring account for the Reds in a 2-0 victory over Union Saint-Gilloise on Wednesday.
