Seko Fofana opens up on transfer interest
One of the most speculated about players who didn't move in the January transfer window was Lens' Seko Fofana.
The midfielder was said to have attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Leeds United but he ultimately stayed in Ligue 1, rather than make a move to England.
He has now spoken about that interest and where his future may lie and was very much non-committal about the idea of staying or going:
"To be honest, nothing is impossible. Today, I can very well say yes to you (stay in Lens) and tomorrow it will be no," reported Foot Mercato.
There are plenty of parameters and we don’t control everything. I’m very happy to be here. We try to go as far as possible and I remain focused on this end of season. I hope we will go as far as possible.”
Raphinha 'can't force way out' of Leeds
Undoubtedly the player with the most interest at Leeds is their Brazilian winger, Raphinha.
Leeds know they will have many offers for him in the summer and are attempting to tie him to a longer contract.
As the Athletic's Phil Hay said on his podcast, if that doesn't happen, Raphinha can't force his way out of the club for a deal Leeds don't think is fair, neither is he likely to.
Phil was asked whether Leeds' poor run of results, including his half-time substitution at Everton might make him think more about leaving.
"He is under contract so he can’t force his way out.
"But I think everybody’s realistic about the fact that clubs are going to start bidding for him in quite a big way at some stage.
"Ideally, if he stays beyond the World Cup, you have the potential for his valuation to go up significantly. But because it’s mid-season this time around, who knows what he’s going to be thinking and who knows what’s going to happen on that front?"
Phillips at centre of trio of suitors
Leeds' other player expected to attract a lot of offers this summer is midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
His form for club and country has taken his profile to another level in recent seasons and according to reports, he will have offers from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United at the end of the season.
Like Raphinha, Leeds hope to sign Phillips to a new contract and the player himself has expressed a desire to remain at Elland Road.
