Leeds United transfer rumours as second American player linked after Brenden Aaronson

Your Leeds United transfer round-up for Wednesday, May 25.

RB Leipzig Tyler Adams highlighted as potential Leeds signing

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Leeds United could now turn their attentions to another American player. Leeds are reportedly close to signing Brenden Aaronson from Red Bull Salzburg, a player who Jesse Marsch has coached, and a second player from the States could join him in Tyler Adams.

The RB Leipzig holding midfielder was a favourite of Marsch's during his time in Germany, and Romano has stated that he could now look to reunite himself with Adams this summer.

Concerning Leeds’ potential interest in Adams, Romano said: "His relationship with Marsch is great. There are no negotiations between the two clubs at the moment, but we know that the relationship is great and it could be a really interesting opportunity.

"Leeds need to understand what they want to do with Kalvin Phillips because he’s on the list of many top clubs. So, let’s see what happens with Phillips and then we will understand if they jump into this Tyler Adams opportunity or not."

Spurs and Newcastle interested in Jack Harrison

Leeds United may be forced to selling Raphinha, who has reportedly handed in a transfer request today, but they know that they cannot afford to lose the winger on the opposite side in Jack Harrison.

Harrison is coming off the back of a tremendous season, scoring the goal to effectively assure their safety on Saturday.

Today though, rumours have emerged about him being linked with both Spurs and Newcastle, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that Spurs have retained their interest with managing director Fabio Paratici being briefed on Harrison by Andrea Pirlo, who played with him at MLS side New York City.

Leeds facing competition for Takumi Minamino

Liverpool have reportedly slapped a £17 million price tag on forward Takumi Minamino, who Leeds United continue to be linked with after Jesse Marsch coached him at Red Bull Salzburg.

And now it is being reported that Leeds will face competition from Lazio and Juventus to land Minamino., who quietly finished as Liverpool's fifth top goalscorer this season.

Minamino has proven a reliable player in the Premier League, but it may be difficult for Leeds to compete with the likes of the Italian giants should a bidding war emerge.
