Leeds United transfer rumours as Rodrigo becomes latest star linked with Saudi Arabia

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Thursday, June 29.

Rodrigo linked with move to Saudi Pro League side

Rodrigo is another Leeds player that has been the subject of plenty of speculation this summer, with several La Liga clubs linked, not least Real Madrid.

A fresh rumour comes in now linking him with a move to Qatari side Al Rayyan, who are managed by former Sporting and Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim.

Portuguese journalist Bruno Andrade tweeted: "Rodrigo Moreno is close to leaving Leeds for Al Rayyan. Walks to be the first major reinforcement of the Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim in Qatar."

Leeds United told Scott Parker is the manager they should appoint

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes Leeds United should be going all out to appoint Scott Parker on a short-term deal to win promotion.

“I think Scott Parker is the right man, they should get it done,” he told Football Insider. “After getting relegated you focus on bringing in a manager for a year, and then you get change personnel, that is how it is, football is ruthless.

“It’s all about promotion, complete projects are more for when you are in the Premier League and you are newly presented with it. Leeds don’t care how they play, it’s just all about getting promoted this season, and that does not require a project.

“Managers also leave when they have better opportunity, and football is ruthless.”
