A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Wednesday, November 9.
Championship side join race to sign Leeds United youngster Stuart McKinstry
Football Insider claims Championship side Burnley have joined the race to sign Leeds United midfielder Stuart McKinstry. The 20-year-old's contract is set to expire at Elland Road this summer, with as many as six Championship sides interested in his signature.
The report claims Leeds are planning contract talks with McKinstry, but Burnley are ready to pounce if a deal cannot be agreed on by the two parties. The Whites youngster is currently on season-long loan with Motherwell and has impressed during his time back in Scotland.
McKinstry came through the ranks at Fir Park before making the move to Elland Road in 2019.
Raphinha rules out Real Madrid swap after difficult start at Barcelona
Former Leeds United winger Raphinha has ruled out a move to Real Madrid after a dismal start to life with Barcelona. The Brazil winger secured his dream move after shining for the Whites in the Premier League last season, but despite an encouraging pre-season at the Nou Camp, he's struggled to adapt to life in Spain.
Raphinha was asked on Que T'hi Jugues if he would consider joining Real if his dream move to Barca doesn't work out. He also revealed an honest conversation with current boss Xavi about playing on the right-wing in his natural position.
He said: "Of course, I'd say no to Real Madrid. I had a talk with Xavi, and I told him that I'd love to play on the right. For me, on an individual level, it's been difficult. I'm a forward, and I like to score.
"I've scored one official goal all season, and that touches you a bit. I'm adapting; my team-mates are helping me. I'm working so that this adaptation is as quick as possible."
Leeds United among 10 Premier League clubs to send scouts to major European clash
Leeds United were reportedly one of 10 Premier League clubs to send scouts to PSV Eindhoven's trip to Ajax at the weekend. PSV ran out 2-1 winners at the Johan Cruijff Arena in the top of the table clash, with Luuk de Jong and Erick Gutierrez on the scoresheet before Lorenzo Lucca's late consolation.
According to 90min.com, the majority of the clubs in attendance were casting a watchful eye on PSV's Cody Gakpo, who Leeds have a well documented interest in. The Whites reportedly came close to signing him on deadline day and were keen to reignite their interest in the January window.
However, thanks to his superb early season form - with 13 goals and 16 assists in all competitions already - a deal now looks unlikely for Leeds as Gakpo sets his sights higher on a move to a club with European ambitions. Gakpo has also been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, who were among the other sides in attendance at the weekend.
