Leeds United transfer rumours as pundit makes Kalvin Phillips price tag claim, Raphinha latest

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Saturday, 19 March

Kalvin Phillips could command £60m if Whites are relegated, claims pundit

Former Premier League defender Alan Hutton claims Leeds United could see a bidding war break out for Kalvin Phillips, if the Whites are relegated this season. Speaking to Football Insider, Hutton claims Leeds could see bids in the region of £60million for the 26-year-old.

The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham have all been linked with a move for Phillips, but as of yet, no bids have ever materialised. However, with the Whites teetering perilously close to the relegation zone, clubs are once again circling.

Hutton said: "He’s a great player that’s only going to get better with time. He’s a full international, he makes Leeds tick, he’s the kind of difference-maker for them. When he doesn’t play, they’re not the same team.

“I think his value, I think there will be a certain amount of teams willing to pay that. I can’t really see Leeds selling off one of our best assets for cheap. He’s under contract so even if they were to go down, I think they would look for the biggest price possible.”

Liverpool keen on Raphinha move

Liverpool are exploring the option of signing Leeds United talisman Raphinha this summer. That's according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE YouTube channel.

It's well documented that Raphinha has a relegation clause in his Leeds United contract, believed to be in the region of £25million. Romano said: “In case Leeds are relegated to the Championship, there will be some really interesting clauses for Raphinha. It’s around £25m, so it could be a big opportunity on the market. Liverpool are exploring this possibility.”

The Whites winger has ben one of the standout figures in a poor season so far. The Brazilian international was linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Barcelona in January, but will remain at Elland Road until the summer.
