Meslier targeted by Barcelona
Leeds United were acutely aware that interest in Illan Meslier would not be far away after his debut season in the Premier League and that's exactly why they signed him up to a five-year new deal in the summer.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, that interest has come in the form of Spanish giants, Barcelona.
New manager and legendary midfielder Xavi is said to be wanting to move on from Marc Andre Ter Stegen in goal and Meslier is one of the players on Barcelona's list of options.
Leeds would certainly not want to sell the 21-year-old and it would likely take a very high fee to get the Whites to the negotiating table.
AFC Wimbledon youngster touted
TeamTalk has claimed that Leeds are one of the clubs interested in AFC Wimbledon midfielder, Jack Rudoni.
It seems that as well as Leeds, Burnley and Wolves also like the 20-year-old, who has featured 26 times in League One this season, scoring seven goals and assisting three from central midfield.
Midfield will be a key area Leeds will look to recruit in when it comes to the summer, although perhaps they may be looking higher than League One for new recruits for the first-team.
Robinson claims Phillips should be highest paid player
Kalvin Phillips and Leeds United have been locked in transfer negotiations for months now and ex-player turned pundit, Paul Robinson believes that any new contract should see Phillips made the highest paid player at Elland Road.
"He should be the highest-paid player at the club
"He’s the best player that they’ve got, as well as Raphinha, and if they are to keep hold of him then they need to reward him in such a manner.
"He was the best player in the England team [at the Euros] and if you look at the rest of his England teammates, they’re competing at the top of the Premier League and in the Champions League. It’s not going to be long before he wants to and needs to do that himself.
"If he’s at that standard and Leeds want to keep him, they reward him as such."
