Leeds United transfer rumours as Liverpool plot move for Raphinha to replace Sadio Mane

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Monday, June 6.

Jurgen Klopp wants Raphinha transfer as Liverpool make plans for Sadio Mane exit

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Raphinha this summer as a replacement for Sadio Mane.

Mane looks set to depart Anfield this summer with a potential move to Bayern Munich in the offing. The move would open up space in the Reds forward line for Raphinha, who Liverpool were keen on last summer.

The Daily Mirror reports that Liverpool are ramping up their interest in the Leeds United winger, with a fee of £60m being mooted. Alongside the hefty transfer fee, Takumi Minamino could be offered up to Leeds as a sweetener. The Japanese winger has worked under Jesse Marsch previously at Red Bull Salzburg and scored 10 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.

With Leeds earning survival on the final day of the season, any club wanting to sign Raphinha will have to pay a large fee. The Brazilian, who scored 11 goals this season, cost the Whites £17m in 2020. Should they cash in this summer, which looks more likely than not, they will be set to profit massively.

They could then use the funds to improve other areas of their squad which was threadbare at times last season.

Andrea Radrizzani drops Rasmus Kristensen hint ahead of imminent Leeds United arrival

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has dropped a hint which suggests the arrival of Red Bull Salzburg defender Rasmus Kristensen is all but confirmed.

Kristensen is believed to be in talks with Leeds over a summer move for around £10m, which would make him the Whites second signing of the summer from Salzburg after Brenden Aaronson's signing.

Recently, the Danish international was asked about his potential move to Leeds after Denmark beat France 2-1 in the Nations League.

Kristensen said: “I do not need to Google Leeds United to know about that club. It is a huge club, a traditional club. It is the world's best league, and it will be huge to get a foot in there.”

The 25-year-old's words found their way on to Twitter, with Whites owner Radrizzani liking a tweet of Kristensen's quote.
