Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Sunday, March 13.
Valencia not looking for permanent Helder Costa move
A summer loan move to Valencia all-but brought an end to Helder Costa’s Leeds career as he had slipped out of contention for a place on the wings at Elland Road.
He had initially struggled for game time with the La Liga outfit but made plenty of starts in the middle section of the season.
However, he has once again fallen down the pecking order and has started just once since January 8.
According to Super Deporte in Spain, Valencia have no interest in signing him on a permanent basis as they don’t view him as good enough for the first team.
Even though Marcelo Bielsa has left Leeds since Costa went out on loan, it is likely that the sale of the 28-year-old will be high on Jesse Marsch’s transfer agenda.
Leeds face Newcastle competition in Simon race
Much of the transfer talk regarding Leeds in the last couple of years has involved wide midfielders.
Moses Simon is another winger that they have supposedly held an interest in but Newcastle are now said to be actively pursuing a move for the Nigeria international.
According to But Nantes in the city in which he plays, the Magpies are already in talks with the player and his representatives.
Simon admitted after the January transfer window closed that Leeds had been in touch hoping to agree a deal for him but, of course, nothing came from it.
Garner transfer battle continues
James Garner has caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs whilst out on loan with Nottingham Forest this season.
The Manchester United midfielder looks destined for a permanent move in the summer with the Red Devils reportedly uninterested in using him in the first team.
Transfer insider Dean Jones tipped the Whites to be the club that make a move for him in the summer although also reinforced the fact there is other interest from a top-flight rival.
“Garner, I think, is somebody that a lot of clubs will be looking at,” he told Give Me Sport. “Southampton are linked with him as well, so he could have a lot of options to consider.”
