Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Monday, May 16.
Leeds 'interested' in Derby star
Derby’s relegation from the Championship has seen a number of their best players linked with moves back into the second tier or even into the Premier League. Despite being unable to steer the Rams out of trouble, Wayne Rooney had a lot of promising youngsters at his disposal in his squad.
While they are largely the players being linked with a summer transfer, there is also reported interest in club captain Tom Lawrence, according to the Mail on Sunday. Among teams such as Burnley, Norwich and Fulham, Leeds are said to be keen admirers of the 28-year-old.

That seems more likely to be a deal that the Whites would pursue should they be relegated to the Championship.
Potential Kamada signing tipped to strengthen Leeds ‘tenfold’
Meanwhile, if Jesse Marsch is able to keep his side in the top flight, there will be different targets on the agenda at Elland Road. One of those is said to be highly-rated Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada who has played a key role in helping the Bundesliga side to the Europa League final.
Transfer insider Dean Jones has commented on the potential move which would only be a possibility if Leeds avoid relegation. He said: “I think if he came in alongside [Brenden] Aaronson, he would lift the quality of that squad tenfold.
“That’s exactly what they’re going to need next season. If Leeds stay up, they can’t just be relieved that they’ve survived and slightly upgrade.
“Leeds need pretty big upgrades all over the pitch. I think the key to that is the centre of the park, so it’s something they’re going to look at.”
Further Raphinha to Barcelona claim made
Regardless of which division Leeds are playing in next season, it seems increasingly unlikely that Raphinha will play at Elland Road again. The rumours linking him with a big-money move to Barcelona continue to intensify as his agent, Deco, has held talks with the Spanish giants.
In the most recent update, Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has claimed that a contract has been agreed between the two parties. Although, at the moment, it doesn’t seem as though there has been any contact between the two clubs with Barca likely to be waiting until the Whites are aware which league they will be competing in.
Schira isn’t the first journalist to report that a cheaper release clause is inserted in Raphinha’s Leeds deal which will only increase the club’s desire to avoid relegation.
