Tony Dorigo has claimed that Weston McKennie's partnership with Tyler Adams in midfield will be "a match made in heaven" after he joined the Whites this month.
The American midfielder arrives at Elland Road on an initial loan deal but the Juventus man looks likely to become a permanent Leeds player with an option to buy included in the deal. The 24-year-old will team up with compatriots Adams and Brenden Aaronson under head coach Jesse Marsch.
And Dorigo has picked out McKennie's pending midfield relationship with Adams as one of the main reasons why Leeds supporters should be excited ahead of his potential debut against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this weekend.

“With Klichy [Mateusz Klich] going, the McKennie move is just perfect because we need that box to box player," Dorigo penned in the Yorkshire Evening Post. "We were linked with various people but McKennie was the one that I wanted and I am delighted that we have got him because I have seen a lot of him at Juventus and I know exactly what he can do.
"Also, he's got the physicality and that's a big difference as well. He is a big strong boy and strong in the air but he has got that ability as well.
“When you look at how he played for Juventus, they kept swapping their midfield around as well as they looked for the right formation for them. But McKennie always impressed me every single time. He was a threat going forward, a really hard worker and you can add to the fact that obviously we have the Americans with us already and Tyler Adams in midfield. It's a match made in heaven.”
