Jesse Marsch has resisted the urge to hand full Premier League debuts to Weston McKennie and Georginio Rutter against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. The head coach has made five changes to his side after beating Accrington Stanley last week, but McKennie and club record signing Rutter are named as substitutes.
McKennie joined the club on loan from Juventus on Monday evening and he’ll be keen to catch the eye alongside his international teammate Tyler Adams in the middle of the park, if he gets on the field. Jack Harrison is the man who is favoured over the American following his transfer saga on deadline day.
There’s no Robin Koch due to suspension and that means Marsch has made three changes to his back line. Luke Ayling returns to the fold at right-back, while Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk have both shaken off injuries to start once more in the Premier League.

Wilfried Gnonto is eligible after missing last weekend’s result over Accrington and he starts in the front line alongside Patrick Bamford. With Rodrigo set to miss the next two months of action through injury, Bamford is the man who has been chosen to start at the City Ground and he’ll be looking to build on his strong run of form of late.
Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Max Wober, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk; Jack Harrison Tyler Adams, Marc Roca; Luis Sinisterra, Patrick Bamford, Wilfried Gnonto
Bench: Joel Robles, Rasmus Kristensen, Junior Firpo, Sam Greenwood, Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville, Brenden Aaronson, Mateo Joseph, Weston McKennie.
