Leeds United team news as Jesse Marsch makes Georginio Rutter decision for Brentford clash

Jesse Marsch has made four changes to his Leeds United squad to face Brentford in the Premier League this afternoon. The Whites will be looking to buck their five game winless streak in the league and they’ll be feeling confident after their demolition of Cardiff City on Wednesday night.

United supporters could catch their first glimpse of new signing Georginio Rutter this afternoon. The striker completed his switch from German club Hoffenheim last weekend and he comes into the squad for the first time as a substitute. As such, he’ll be determined to catch the eye this afternoon and a good first impression, if Marsch turns his way.

Fellow January addition Max Wober gets the nod to start his first-ever Premier League game, despite limping off in midweek after taking a knock. The defender has looked the part so far and he’ll play on the left alongside Pascal Struijk.

Robin Koch returns to the fold after being ruled out against the Bluebirds with a small knock, but Liam Cooper isn’t involved at all. The skipper didn't play in the FA Cup third round replay through injury and he misses out again today.

Brenden Aaronson also starts, but what role he will play remains to be seen. Luis Sinisterra, who scored against Brentford back in September, is on the bench and he’ll be looking to secure more minutes after making his return from injury on Wednesday night.

Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk, Max Wober; Tyler Adams, Marc Roca, Brenden Aaronson; Jack Harrison, Rodrigo, Wilfried Gnonto.

Bench: Joel Robles, Rasmus Kristensen, Diego Llorente, Sam Greenwood, Georginio Rutter, Patrick Bamford, Luis Sinisterra, Joe Gelhardt, Junior Firpo.
