Leeds United target Alberth Elis has been hailed as 'explosive' amid links over a potential transfer to West Yorkshire this summer. The Honduran international is the latest striker to be linked to Leeds with Takumi Minamino, Valentin Castellanos and Junior Adamu all previously being mentioned.
Boavista's Elis spent last season on loan at Bordeaux, scoring nine goals in just 20 games for the French side who would eventually be relegated. But the Ligue 1 side do indeed have a clause which means they can sign him for a modest £6million, before looking to move him on for a profit - which L'Equipe reports they're looking to do - with Leeds United ready to pounce.
He had previously been a standout striker in the MLS, where Jesse Marsch reportedly became aware of him, as he scored 24 goals in 62 games for Houston Dynamo.

But it was in France where Elis has begun to catch the attention with that impressive goal record, and the club's director Admar Lopes has heaped praise on the striker.
Lopes said: "Albert is a forward we've been very familiar with since he was a young boy. He has an incredible, explosive power and is capable of playing anywhere in attack. Alberth also brings with him a deep wellspring of drive and ambition. It's a great thing for our club, to have a player of this quality joining. We want to thanks him for placing his trust in the project."
Although only on loan, Bordeaux can sign him for a modest £6million after the loan spell due to a clause in his deal. And the French club are reportedly looking move him on for a profit with Leeds United ready to pounce, L'Equipe reported.
