Leeds United supporters send Daniel Farke James and Rutter verdict ahead of Manchester United clash

Leeds United supporters have named a strong but youthful side they would like to see ahead of the Whites' pre-season clash with Manchester United this evening. The friendly will give fans their first glimpse into how new boss Daniel Farke will set his side up for next season, although there are a number of players still not quite up to pace.

The German head coach will welcome back his international players later than those who've already returned to Thorp Arch, while Brenden Aaronson, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente have all sealed moves away from the club. Rasmus Kristensen and Rodrigo are expected to follow suit.

Whites fans expect Kristoffer Klaesson to start between the sticks, with a back four of Cody Drameh, Max Wober, Liam Cooper and Leo Hjlede. Farke will have plenty of defensive options on the bench but it's a different story in the heart of midfield.

Youngsters Sam Greenwood and Darko Gyabi have been picked to start by supporters against the Red Devils, with Georginio Rutter and Daniel James on either flank. The latter of the quartet returned from a loan spell with Fulham last season and is expected to play a bigger part under Farke given his previous praise.

Despite speculation linking him with a move away from Elland Road, supporters expect Patrick Bamford to lead the line alongside Joe Gelhardt. Joffy enjoyed a play-off finish to last season's loan with Sunderland and gained vital experience in the second tier.

The youngster should also be set for a bigger role this season given the club's recent relegation.
