Leeds United supporters have been buoyed by the announcement of Pascal Struijk's new deal. The club revealed the 23-year-old had penned a four-and-a-half year extension to take his current deal through to the summer of 2027.
After arriving in 2018, the versatile defender has forced his way into the first team set-up and has been a mainstay in the Whites defence this season. Struijk had hoped playing out of position at left-back for Leeds, would show Louis Van Gaal his versatility and he was named in the provisional Dutch squad for the World Cup, but was left out of the 26-man squad for the tournament.
The defender has been one of the bright sparks in an inconsistent start to the campaign, but supporters are hoping there's more positive news to come heading into the January window.
