Jesse Marsch has made three changes to the Leeds United starting XI for the trip to face Arsenal at the Emirates. The big news from the announcement of the team is the inclusion of Joe Gelhardt in the frontline as he replaces Rodrigo.
The other changes see Diego Llorente come into the heart of the defence in place of Pascal Struijk while Dan James replaces the injured Stuart Dallas. Liam Cooper is, unfortunately, not in the matchday squad as it appears he has been unable to shake off the injury that ruled him out of the Manchester City defeat.
Supporters called for the involvement of Gelhardt in the starting XI and he has been given his opportunity against the Arsenal central defensive pairing of Rob Holding and Gabriel. The Gunners have been one of the Premier League’s strongest teams defensively so it’ll be a real test for the 20-year-old.

It will also be a big afternoon for Koch and Llorente who have both shown their quality but have also been questioned on occasion this term. Junior Firpo, who will be facing the electric Bukayo Saka, also has a lot of pressure on his shoulders following his tough debut season in English football.
The majority of Leeds supporters seem happy with the starting XI chosen by Marsch, here is what a few of them had to say on social media.
