Leeds United supporters question Cody Drameh's absence in Cardiff City FA Cup replay

Leeds United supporters are concerned for Cody Drameh's future as the right-back was left out of Jesse Marsch's squad to face Cardiff City in an FA Cup third round replay at Elland Road.

Marsch made five changes from the starting XI which lost 2-1 against Aston Villa on Friday. Four of those changes come in defence, with Rasmus Kristensen and Junior Firpo replacing Luke Ayling and Pascal Struijk in the full-back slots..

Illan Meslier remains between the sticks, while Max Wober comes in for his first start at the heart of defence alongside Diego Llorente, as Robin Koch and club captain Liam Cooper drop out of the squad entirely.

Elsewhere, Brenden Aaronson is left on the bench, as Sam Greenwood looks poised to take on a more advanced role in a three-man midfield with Tyler Adams and Marc Roca. Luis Sinisterra also returns to the bench for the first time since suffering a foot injury in October.

Drameh has been linked with a loan move away from Elland Road, after playing just 70 minutes in the Premier League this term. The 20-year-old was named Cardiff's Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season after spending the second half of the 2021-22 campaign on loan with the Bluebirds.

Here is how Leeds United supporters have been reacting to Marsch's latest selection on social media...

@LUFC_WorldWide Drameh must be off soon.

@mewebb1 Hopefully Marsch goes before Drameh does.

@lufcluke91 No Drameh. Poor kid! Another wasted talent not used by Leeds.

@LukeWGreen Gyabi robbed.

@lufcluke91 First start for Wober. Let's see how he does. Looked good so far but only with substitute appearances. Let's see what he's all about and perfect opportunity tonight.

@hank_lufc Gnonto needs a rest. We can't afford for him to get injured.

@Superleeds1Mot Happy with that. Come on Leeds, just win!

@AD36421360 About right for me. Need to find a big performance to kick on from tonight. Good to see Struijk having some time out to think his recent performances over too.

@jonro1465 Good side. Wober to centre back then be good to see.

@RMcgoran Llorente and Ayling should be no where near the match day squad…Where’s Cody?

@AntonyCarlHiggs Good team, no excuse tonight, nothing but a win with a comfortable performance will do really.

@RisdaleJoe We need to perform a hell of a lot better tonight otherwise we are out. We were lucky to scrape a draw.
