Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Manchester City midfielder Darko Gyabi on a four-year-deal. The 18-year-old makes the move from the Etihad Stadium to Elland Road after the two clubs came to an agreement for a fee in the region of £5 million.
Gyabi was one of the most highly rated youngsters in the City academy and Leeds have high hopes for him as he chases his first senior appearance. The 18-year-old played a role for the club’s under-23s last year, making 10 appearances and scoring one goal as the club eased to the Premier League 2 title.
The deal is the second involving Leeds and Man City on Monday, as Kalvin Phillips moved the other way of around £42 million. Here is how fans have been reacting to the signing of Gyabi, with a number of them dishing out advice to the teenager on what has been a huge day for the club, following the departure of Kalvin Phillips.
