Javi Gracia suffered his first defeat in the Premier League as Leeds United boss as Wesley Fofana's header ensure Chelsea of all three points. The Whites looked defensively sound for large parts of the tie but were woeful in the final third.
It took them until the hour mark to register a shot on target, but Georginio Rutter's shot from eight yards out deflected off Kalidou Koulibaly and rolled into the hands of Kepa Arrizabalaga. In fact, the best chance of the game for Leeds fell to their goalkeeper who went up for a stoppage-time corner, with the Blues shotstopper gathering with ease.
A late turnaround at Arsenal saw the league leaders overturn a 2-0 deficit against Bournemouth to keep Leeds out of the relegation zone. Whites supporters were left ruing their end product in the final third.

Here's what Leeds United supporters had to say following the defeat to Chelsea:
@JimmyCarey123 said: "It’s honestly unbelievable how we can get into so many good areas every game and not finish any of them."
@maisieWDCFC tweeted: "Won 5 times out of 25 games, dress it how you like it is relegation form."
@adam2986 tweeted: "Sorry to say but I don't think we will stay up like this. The top scorer in that squad today was Struijk with 2 goals. Closest we came was with our keeper. In a way relegation may be a blessing in disguise to absolutely right the wrongs of these last few transfer windows."
@BenShabaz said: "I can’t really be too mad about that performance."
@daveybowes said: "I thought we were aiming for Europe this year?"
@rico74Leeds tweeted: "Didn’t play badly but didn’t create enough against a very average Chelsea, we need to make the home games count, keep fighting Leeds"
@lufc2023 tweeted: "Final ball still not good enough. Quite a few players not releasing the ball at key times either. End up running into a dead ends and losing possession. Pretty fortunate it was so close. Cold have gone in at HT 2- 0 down."
