Leeds United supporters hail 'massive point' after ending Newcastle United winning streak

Leeds United fans have called their side's 0-0 draw against Premier League high-flyers Newcastle United 'a massive point' at a drenched St. James' Park this afternoon.

The Whites rallied back from a midweek defeat to reigning champions Manchester City to dig deep and fight out a draw in what was a brave performance from Jesse Marsch's men.

Great defensive performances from the likes of Liam Cooper and Tyler Adams meant nothing but frustration for Eddie Howe's Magpies, who have been so used to scoring bundles of goals against opponents around Leeds' position in the table.

Newcastle had multiple penalty appeals but all were waved away by referee Simon Hooper, once again leaving many in black-and-white no doubt disappointed.

Many Whites supporters took to social media to discuss the result, with most pleased with the 0-0 draw. Here what they had to say...

@Mikko__Jarvinen: Marsch Masterclass

@markpmakey: Massive point... well fought well deserved, guts and a never say die performance! we move on to the next one MOT

@lauralufcmot: Great point but still nothing great offensively. Hopefully 2-3 signings in January including a striker. @tyler_adams14 though … he was everywhere #lufc

@ashymarc: Definitely take that point #mot #lufc

@SBattersby: Take that all year long!

@_LewisStant: Good result against a strong side, positive clean sheet - beat West Ham and things look positive again

@SammyLinford: Decent result that & a clean sheet!
