Leeds United ended their pre-season tour of Australia with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at the Suncorp Stadium. Rodrigo's second-half penalty was cancelled out by Jean Phillipe Mateta in a feisty affair that saw several bookings and some heavy challenges.
New signing Luis Sinisterra made his first start in a Leeds shirt but lasted just 11 minutes, going off holding his hamstring and falling under minimal contact. Adam Forshaw also left the pitch on the half hour and went straight down the tunnel.
Jesse Marsch's side built up well from the back but lacked penetration and precision in the final third, with Patrick Bamford cutting a frustrated figure in the first 45 minutes. Rodrigo slotted home a penalty but Marsch's aggressive pressing was exposed slightly when Jordan Ayew ran through on goal to set up Mateta for the equaliser.

The game was fractured throughout by a litany of poor challenges from both sides and those tackles became more and more common as the game entered the dying minutes.
And after the final whistle went, Whites fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

@Prokyp said: Think Marsch is gonna have to start playing his first 11 together so they don't look like strangers. Shocking pitch hasn't helped. #lufc
@FootAnalyKris tweeted: Out of the existing players Greenwood has picked up the systen best of everyone, excellent tactical awareness for his age #lufc
@Firposmoustach said: I just don't know what our tactical plan is or our style of play... baffled #lufc
@Chris1014Lee tweeted: Problem Leeds are going to have is that once the opposition bypass the press they can be in on goal in a couple of passes. We are going to concede a lot of goals on the counter unless it's tightened up. #lufc
@AntsTheGamer said: Counter's from set pieces are a big worry. Keep a pacey player back it's not hard. Don't try keep the ball hit it back in. #lufc
