Leeds United fans have been left disappointed after a deadline day move for Bamba Dieng falls through. The Marseille striker was at the airport ahead of a move to Elland Road, but OGC Nice have hijacked the big.
The 22-year-old is now closing in on a move elsewhere in Ligue 1, despite Andrea Radrizzani claiming the deal was done. The Whites owner tweeted: "Lets welcome Bamba Dieng and we will continue to work on Gapko. Now it's time to focus on the pitch and support our new project and the great job Jesse and the staff are doing."
Leeds were hoping to bolster their attacking options this summer but only have a few hours now to bring in a striker.
