Leeds United supporters have reacted to the news that the club's American shareholders are prepared to begin a takeover of the entire club after 'securing the necessary funds'.
According to the Times, the investment company 49ers Enterprises - which already own 44% of the club - are preparing to activate the previously disclosed full takeover clause that would see them buy out the other 56% from current majority shareholder Andrea Radrizzani.
It is believed that a takeover of the Whites could even be possible before the end of the season but it's highly likely the attempt will come in the summer of 2023 or 2024.

The report adds that one source with knowledge of the negotiations has said that the money needed for the takeover is 'in place' and that the 49ers were 'getting their ducks in a row'.
Many fans immediately went to social media to discuss whether or not they thought the takeover would be a good idea, with many sat on the fence. Here's what the Whites fans have had to say...
@_LewisStant: Great news it’s the joint ownership that screws us. Needs to be one or the other
@Tattoodmini: Hmm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
@OliverMedd7: The 49ers & Lowy have to back us in January or their little project over the last couple of years will have been a waste of time. Big couple of months coming up #lufc
@usmntonly: LEEDS USA TAKEOVER
@TayWilliams11: Really don’t know how I feel about this
@VincentsVein: It’s obvious we need new ownership if we’re ever going to be within a chance of taking another leap, but this lot don’t fill me with confidence. Regardless, once all’s said and done Radrizzani deserves credit for where we were when he took over to where we are once he departs.
@RITGK: A takeover, it’s been a while #lufc
