Leeds United suffer another yet injury blow as Stuart Dallas forced off early against Everton

Stuart Dallas became the latest player to pick up an injury in a season where Leeds United have been plagued with issues to important players.

The Northern Irishman was forced off within the first ten minutes of the match after he appeared to injure himself in a challenge with Alex Iwobi on the left touchline as the game started in whirlwind fashion.

Dallas attempted to play on but signalled to the bench shortly after that he was unable to continue, seeing Norwegian teenager Leo Hjelde coming on to replace him.

Up until this point, Dallas had played in every minute of the Premier League season, barring 12 minutes in the second half of the home fixture against Watford, when he was substituted.

Should Dallas be injured longer term, he will join Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips as key players unavailable to Marcelo Bielsa. However, Phillips and Cooper are close to finishing their recoveries.

Meanwhile, Bamford has only featured for five games all season. He started the first four before picking up an ankle injury in a 1-1 draw away to Newcastle United. On his return, he scored the equaliser against Brentford after coming on as a second half substitute, only to pull a hamstring in the goal celebrations.

He is now recovered from his hamstring strain but is suffering from a foot injury which Bielsa said is preventing him from even jogging. Both Phillips and Cooper were also injured in the Brentford game.

Leeds now face an anxious wait to discover Dallas' recovery time, with Bielsa likely to give an initial update following the match.
